So lately i have been trying something new. i would like to introduce you to my new friend, Jane. (Jane is the pink guitar I'm holding). This thanksgiving I spent most of my day at my grandma's house. My grandma has had two strokes in the past year. She is doing really great, she just needs help doing everyday things sometimes. Well she asked me to get her something out of her hall closet and what grabbed my attention was a guitar.

I grabbed it and asked her if i could play around with it and she was like sure. So for the next couple of hours I spent all my time on youtube learning how to play one of my favorite songs "Daughters" by John Mayer. I picked it up pretty quickly and I loved it. I was thinking to myself, this could be something I really get into.

the day after thanksgiving, we go back over to my grandma's house and my entire family is asking my questions about the guitar and if I will play something. (the only people at my grandmas house the night before were my grandma, her husband, my mom and myself.) Somehow the next day my entire family knew I was an aspiring guitar player. My mom thinks very highly of me and she took it upon her self to proceed to tell EVERYONE she talked to that night that i was teaching my self. Oh mother!

Well anyways, my aunt comes up to me and she is like I got you a present. A present for thanksgiving? sure! She whispers in my ear, "Its a pink guitar". WHAT!?!?!?! I was so excited!!!

so for the past couple of days I have been annoying people with my playing and coping with the newly found pain in my fingertips. OH and her name is Jane because one of my favorite albums by Maroon 5 is titled "Songs About Jane". So I guess it's time for me to finish writing here so I can go play some guitar.
